Rebooting the Web of Trust (RWOT) is a design workshop where people work together to produce white papers, specifications, and code related to the decentralized digital identity space known as the Web of Trust. It is intended for developers, cryptographers, researchers, user-experience designers, and policy experts who are actively involved in building a next-generation web of trust.
The focus of all events is on decentralized identity, including technical models, reputation systems, smart contracts and more. The terminology of “Self-Sovereign Identity” was first created at one of the RWOT design workshops. Over the last seven years, Rebooting the Web of Trust has published over fifty collaborative white papers, technical specs, and code repositories.
