We are proud to be a founding member of the Trust over IP (ToIP) Foundation. Governments, non-profit organizations and the private sector in finance, healthcare, enterprise software and others are working with the Linux Foundation to improve universal security and privacy protocols for consumers and businesses in the digital age.
Nowadays, organizations struggle to protect and manage digital assets and data, especially in an increasingly complex enterprise environment that includes the Internet of Things (IoT), edge computing, artificial intelligence and more. This reinforces the already low level of consumer confidence in the use of personal information and slows down innovation in opportunities such as digital identity and the introduction of new services that can help humanity.
Without a global standard for guaranteeing digital trust, these trends will inevitably continue. The ToIP Foundation will use digital identity models that use interoperable digital wallets and credentials and the new W3C standard for verifiable credentials to address these challenges and enable consumers, businesses and governments to better manage risks, improve digital trust and protect all forms of online identity.
